Description of the job

A vacancy for a Consolidation Accountant and Systems Focal Point (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Blagnac.

You will be part of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft Consolidation team (9 people), jointly accountable for the delivery of Airbus Commercial Aircraft consolidated statements in accordance with overall quality and timetable requirements.

·  Approximately 110 legal entities from different countries included in Airbus Commercial Aircraft consolidated perimeter
·  Monthly closing for management and reporting purposes
·  Quarterly delivery of audited statements to be included in Airbus consolidation
·  Yearly disclosure of Airbus Commercial Aircraft financial package

Main challenges:

·  Adherence of closing deadlines
·  Adherence to accounting rules (IFRS) and business reporting needs
·  Coordination with entities and other departments

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the Airbus Commercial Aircraft consolidation department, we are looking for double competencies in consolidation/accountancy and systems.

Your main missions and activities will include:

·  Being the consolidation system focal point and maintenance for Airbus Commercial Aircraft Division:

o Airbus Commercial Aircraft consolidation is hosted on FACTS+ systems (SAP module).
o Your missions will be to prepare the consolidation tool prior closing by:
 Ensuring availability and readiness of the FACTS+ system for monthly, quarterly and year end closings in coordination with systems technical team responsible of the consolidation platform for the entire group,
 Testing system changes in FACTS+ in coordination with Consolidation team and Technical team,
 Following up on master data evolution required by the business in FACTS+ though governance board (FS items, Company codes, etc…),
 Preparing systems roadmap,
 Managing technical closing (January and July),
 Being the link between consolidation needs and systems team.
o Managing FACTS+ access rights by:
 Authorizing access to the consolidation tool,
 Reviewing annually the list of systems users and the granted rights.
o Supporting entities and consolidation team in using of FACTS+ functionalities by:
 Providing FACTS+ trainings to entities and new team member,
 Supporting data collection of entities,
 Supporting consolidation team during closings when it refers to systems specificities,
 Supporting on ad-hoc projects (entity integration or deconsolidation, change of hierarchy, …).

·  Being responsible for specific consolidation tasks by:

o Supporting the consolidation of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft combined and consolidated financial information in coordination with the other consolidation team members for Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually closings (balance sheet, profit and loss, Cash flow and other additional information related) complying with IFRS standards and respecting deadlines and quality requirements.
o Ensuring data collection of some specific entities yearly.
o Performing monthly checks on data collection.
o Ensuring monthly the review of the intercompany services scheme and ensuring neutrality to the consolidated financial information.
o Ensuring system refreshes to allow other departments to mirror division financial data.
o Being in charge of statistical items (additional information required to prepared notes to the group disclosures) in the consolidation team:
 Coordinating with the group consolidation/disclosure team and system team for availability of layouts in the systems,
 Preparing annually the statistical booklet for entities in order to explain the requirements and validation rules of statistical items,
 Checking and reviewing consistency and completeness of the data.
o Being In charge of specific consolidation entries (preparation, booking and review).

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to 3/4 years degree level (or equivalent) in Finance / Financial systems with double competencies in
consolidation/accountancy and systems,
3 to 5 years of experience in Aeronautics/Aerospace industry,
Strong background in systems / SAP,
Knowledge in Accounting and IFRS,
Change mind-set,
Collective and team approach, customer oriented and strong relational skills,
Proactivity,
Language skills : negotiation level of English
