Description of the job

A vacancy for a Configuration Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt.
You will join Space Equipment division.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Formulate the principles used to perform configuration management of space equipment

·  Implement and monitor the application of configuration management procedures

·  Manage equipment configuration

·  Provide all the necessary information for the product configuration status at a given moment.

You will be responsible for the following activities:

·  Follow up of the technical definition of equipment designed and manufacture

·  Drawing up the reference dossier defining the equipment

·  Management and monitoring of modifications,

·  Management of the equipment multi-project applicabilities

·  Management of applicable documents

·  Management and follow-up of customer requests (DM/CR: Change request)

·  Management and follow-up of modification proposals (PM / CN Change notice)

·  Management and follow-up of manufacturing concessions (concession/waiver)

·  Management and follow-up of deviations with regard to specifications

·  Participation in progress meetings

·  Issuing documents produced for customer review (CIDL, Deviations status list, Applicable document list)

·  Issuing of ABCL 'As Built Configuration List' and reconciliation inspection 'AS Design/ As Built'

·  Technical support to Quality engineers and Product engineers

·  Issuing of configuration status and historical status of revisions.

This role will involve some travels for business two or three times a year in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You should have the following skills and experience:

·  Master's degree in General engineering (primarily in electronics or mechanics)

·  Knowledge of product data management (PDM) tools, Windchill would be a plus

·  Good writing skill in French and English (drafting of procedures and reports)

·  Ability to ensure a technical support (development and maintenance of a reference documentation)

·  Beginner, 2 to 3 years of experience

·  Meticulous, dynamic, independent, teamwork

·  Ability to read, write and speak English (work in a multicultural team).
