Description of the job

A vacancy for a Composite and Metallic Stress Engineer - Radomes and Doors (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.
You will join the Stress - Static Single Aisle Department.
Under the responsibility of the head of Stress Static for Single Aisle nose and centre fuselage, the job holder will be part of the
Radome & Mechanisms team in charge of the Single Aisle Doors 1&4 and all Radomes programs (SA, LR, A350, A380,
A400M).

The job holder will have the opportunity to evolve in a multi-skills/multi-program environment and develop his stress knowledges
(Static/Fatigue/Test; composite/metallic) through various activities as New Development, Serial and In Service Support.
Through Radomes, the position will offer the possibility to work on an internal Airbus product (Engineering and Manufacturing) in
a very dynamic context with various projects planned.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

¤ Ensure static studies on component level from Stress point of view mainly composite.
¤ Perform structure analysis activities (composite and metallic, i.e, doors 1&4 for Single Aisle (SA), radomes for all programs,
nose landing gear doors SA/LR)
¤ Define solutions and manage non-conformities, concessions and Design Query Notes (DQN) in the perimeter of the work
package
¤ Provide support and information to manufacturing and assembly. Support Test campaign.
¤ Ensure in-service support to customers and their aircraft in operation in collaboration with SEE, SEO & EYY departments

This role will involve very occasional travel for business in Nantes/St Nazaire and as such you must be able to travel
accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

¤ Experience in composite and /or metallic static stress analysis
¤ Knowledge in Airbus methods and tools for static analysis (ISAMI or AppliCompo, FEM (PATRAN, NASTRAN),
HYPERWORKS)
¤ Knowledge in maintenance and repair would be a plus
¤ Good knowledge and wide use of MS Office applications and of UNIX environment Ability to work with design and stress
teams as well as with suppliers / subcontractors
¤ Proactive working attitude into a multi-functional team (ESXx/ EYYx / ESCx / Manufacturing... )

¤ Intermediate level in English and advanced level in French
