Description of the job

A vacancy for a Buyer (m/f) position has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

You will join the Metallic and Composite rods Commodity Sourcing Group, a team of buyers who work in a trust-based organization within a challenging, high technology, international and innovative environment.

You will be given the opportunity to contribute to large Call For Tenders in 2019 by sourcing and contracting for Airbus Group.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Sourcing and Contracting of Metallic and Composite rods A320, A330, A350 and
A380 programmes, for all Airbus group Business Units

·  Leading the contractual relationship with one or more strategic supplier(s) in Europe and US supplier panel, securing satisfaction of internal and external customers,

·  Contributing to market strategies in line with the multi-functional team and in compliance with Airbus strategy and procedures,

·  Negotiating contracts and amendments with one or more strategic suppliers to ensure compliance with latest Airbus standards,

·  Monitoring the performance of the suppliers in line with the contractual requirements and supporting improvement plans and lead claim management with the suppliers (if so required),

·  Supporting supply chain to ensure on-time and on-quality deliveries of the IFEC suppliers as per their contractual agreements, in order to secure Airbus production ramp-up,

·  Managing call for tenders preparation, launch in Eproc, Selection report issuance up to suppliers award

This role will involve some travel for business once a month in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Degree in Business Administration or Engineering (or equivalent experience)

·  Experience within a customer or supplier facing environment, with a high level of international communication skills,

·  Good contractual and negotiation skills in an international environment with the ability to defend Airbus' position towards the supplier,

·  Being able to structure and prioritize the workload,

·  Team player with an open, pro-active mindset,

·  Good MS Office / Google suite and basic SAP skills,

·  Negotiation level in English, other languages (German, Spanish, French) would be a plus.
