Description of the job

A vacancy for a Buyer has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse. You will join aerostructure Procurement department.

You will be part of a dynamic organisation dealing with new technology, working for all programs, all plants, in an international environment.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be in charge of:

·  Contributing to the development of a market strategy for Composite Detail Parts products/suppliers
·  Leading Call For Tenders for Composite Detail Parts products
·  Managing contracts: claim management, monitor supplier performance in cooperation with Quality and Supply Chain teams, modifications, manage contract amendments, conduct all relevant activities of the contract expiry/termination step and activities resulting of suppliers failure of the contract performance.
·  Leading Work Package Team (multifunctional team with all supporting functions such as Manufacturing engineering, SC&Q, Ordering, Program, Finance…)
·  Delivering value creation projects (savings, improvement of performance) for the products and/or suppliers under his/her responsibility.
·  As Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM): Contribute to the definition of the Airbus strategy towards suppliers, conduct transversal projects (enablement, incoterms, tools & processes), consolidate supplier data (contractual, financial, evaluation) across Airbus.

This role will involve some worldwide travel for business (1 or 2 / month) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5 year degree specialising in Business / Engineering (or equivalent)
·  At least 3 years' experience in a similar position,
·  Knowledge of contract management and negotiation,
·  Technical background on composite materials,
·  Team spirit and interpersonal skills
·  Ability to work as member of an integrated team,
·  Agility,
·  Language Skills: Negotiation level of English.
