Description of the job

Within the Ground Systems Centre of Competence, the Air Traffic Management and Navigation department has contributed for over 20 years to a number of major projects in the air traffic control domain, on both a national and a European level. The ATM activities of the department include both en-route systems and products and approach systems and products. Its main customers are French, such as the DGAC/DSNA (French Civil Aviation Authority/French Air Navigation Service Provider), or European (ENAV – Italian Air Navigation Service Provider, SESAR, etc.).

On its own or within consortiums, Airbus Defence and Space focuses in particular on the following transverse responsibilities:

·  Overall technical responsibility
·  Responsibility for systems engineering activities (specifications, design, architecture)
·  Responsibility for system integration/validation activities

There are 3 vacancies for ATM Systems Engineers in the department.

This position will require security clearance or eligibility for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Under the responsibility of the Systems Manager, you will contribute to the following activities:

¤ Analysing/formally defining the customer requirements
¤ Writing the specifications at systems level
¤ Defining the architecture and design at systems level
¤ Analysing anomalies and developments at systems level
¤ Managing system configurations
¤ Managing the consistency of the engineering database
¤ Taking part in system design activities
¤ Helping to define demonstrators at systems level
¤ Providing systems support during the system integration/verification phases
¤ Reporting to the Systems Manager on a weekly basis

Required skills

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience:

¤ Engineering degree (or equivalent Master's level university qualification), ideally in Information Technology
¤ Good knowledge of engineering and IT systems architecture
¤ Knowledge of the field and ATM systems
¤ Knowledge of specification methods and tools (DOORS)
¤ Knowledge of design methods and tools

¤ Excellent interpersonal skills
¤ Keen interest in operational activities
¤ Enjoyment of working in a multi-functional and international team
¤ Good analytical capacities and a meticulous and methodical approach
¤ Good summary skills and a pragmatic mindset
¤ Commitment

¤ Fluency in French and an advanced level of English
