Description of the job

A vacancy for an apprenticeship position in the Development of an Augmented Reality Aircraft Inspection Tool (M/F) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse (Saint-Martin).

You will join the IT team of the A350 assembly line quality department and participate in the development of an aircraft inspection support tool using Microsoft Hololens glasses (augmented reality glasses).

This work-study position will start on the 4th of September 09 (date subject to some flexibility) and is for a duration of 12 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

Firstly, you will:

·  acquire skills in application development technologies that are adapted to Microsoft Hololens glasses (C#/Unity 4.5/augmented reality concepts)
·  Within a team, participate in the development and testing of an augmented reality application facilitating A350 and A380 aircraft inspections.

As part of the second phase of this apprenticeship, you will independently create a tool to define and set up the inspections:

To do this, you will have to:

·  Collect user needs in order to determine the features of the tool to be developed
·  Determine the most appropriate architecture (web client or heavy client)
·  Develop the tool in an iterative mode (Agile approach)
·  Ensure its deployment and train users.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experiences:

·  Final year of an engineering school, specialising in IT Engineering
·  You have a development experience in .Net (VB.Net or C#)
·  You have good interpersonal skills, including with users that do not have an IT background.
·  Experience in ASP.Net, as well as experience in application developments with strong graphical components, would be a plus
·  Soft skills: Good interpersonal skills, ability to take the initiatives, analytical and synthesis skills
·  Language skills: English: Intermediate - French: Fluent
