Description of the job

An apprenticeship for a Building Buyer position (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Blagnac.

You will join the Buildings department that manages the buying of buildings for the entire Airbus Group.

You will be required to evolve in an international environment on a specific topic which is buildings.

Your mission will be to implement purchasing activities related to one or several products/packages/suppliers, set up the contractual framework of suppliers with the company and obtain the best purchasing conditions for the company.

This apprenticeship will start in September 2017 (subject to some flexibility) and is for a duration of 24 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main activities will include:

·  Contributing to sourcing activities
·  Steering calls for tender and contract negotiations in order to obtain the best purchasing conditions in accordance with Company requirements
·  Ensuring contract follow-up (during innovation, development, Series production and support phases) with suppliers and internal partners of the Company in order to ensure the full application of conditions and contract terms throughout its duration and ensure that the deliverables provided by providers are fully compliant with the expected performances (logistics, support, quality, cost, etc.)
·  On a daily basis, managing relations with suppliers and on-going projects to optimise the value for the customer, while minimising TCO (total cost of ownership) and risks
·  Contributing to MFT/MDT (multi-functional/multi-divisional teams) throughout call for tender, negotiation and contract execution phases.

Required skills

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 3-year degree level (or equivalent) in Purchasing/Supply Chain (specialising in Buildings) or in Building Engineering (specialising in Purchasing)
·  Functional skills: integrity, leadership skills, argumentation skills and good communication skills
·  Advanced level of English
·  Intermediate level of French
