Description of the job
A vacancy for an Antenna Accommodation Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join the Satellite Design department. The “Satellite Design Group” department is in charge of completing and configuring the spacecraft definition on behalf of the project team to meet customer expectations from a technical, schedule and cost point of view, using standardised units and following standard processes as much as possible.

Tasks & accountabilities
Within the “Satellite external accommodation” group, as part of the “Satellite Design Group”, you will be:
· For the antenna and the satellite customisation managers, leading the external satellite accommodation activities,
· Supporting the technical manager and the RF Engineer during the BID phase with regards to the spacecraft and the antenna configurations,
· Being responsible for antenna interfaces with:
o The platform structure,
o The deployment mechanism,
o The antenna deployment kinematic,
o The allowable volume,
o The Repeater (ensuring the involvement of the Payload Custom).
· Driving the design office activities to issue, on time and on quality, the IRDs (main IRD data),
· Supporting workshops with the antenna suppliers,
· Supporting the standardisation of the Interface Requirement Documents (IRDs), the standardisation of interfaces with the platform/mechanism, etc.
· Supporting the MSC antenna for R&D activities.
This role will involve some travel for business (1 to 2 times a year in Europe) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent),
· Experience in systems engineering (mechanical, thermal, AIT/FAL, Design Office etc.),
· Ideally, an initial experience in a field related to satellite accommodation and/or knowledge of the E3000 Telecom Platform,
· Good communication skills,
· Autonomous and reactive,
· Good team player,
· Advanced level of English and French.
