Description of the job

A vacancy for an Aircraft Control Engineer - Equipment Specialist (Electrotechnics, Electronics, sensors) has arisen within Airbus to be based on the Toulouse site in France.

The job holder will lead the development of Actuators and Pilot Control Equipments of Flight Control Systems, in order to grant safety, Aircraft control performance, and Product in-service maturity.

Tasks & accountabilities

The job holder will be in charge of Specification, test and integration of Actuators and Pilot Control Equipments, on the Flight Control Systems.

He will Lead Design and Engineering Support activities internally within Airbus and at Suppliers.

The job involves exciting teamworking with Engineering, Program, Support, Procurement, and a significant steering Supplier activity.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and competencies:

- Educated to a Master Degree in Aeronautical/Electrotechnics / Electronics engineering (or equivalent),
- A minimum of 3 years industrial experience,
- Electronics & sensors Electromechanical knowledge,
- Good communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving,
- Ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidiscipline team,
- Good leadership skills,
- Assertiveness
Languages:
- Advanced level of English is required
- Minimum Intermediate level of French is preferable
