Description of the job

A vacancy for a Cabin Module Designer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Interiors Services in Blagnac. You will join the Cabin Module Development Engineering department.

In the frame of AIRBUS Interiors Services, the Design Office performs developments linked to the conversion of the aircraft for VIP/Airlines application. Part of DO, the Cabin Module Development Engineering Department is in charge of all types of cabin module developments required to support the tasks issued by the Design Office.

The Design activities (Catia V5) will concern ATA21, 25, 38 and 92 for a dedicated set of cabin monument work packages.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  3D definition concept
·  Definition dossier (2D drawings, bill of materials, technical notes) of standards and monuments.
·  Application of Design to Cost concepts on its design activities.
·  Performing the documentation package related to the monument qualifications.
·  Assistance to the MAP Leader during monument MAP manufacturing phase.

This role will involve some travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautics or a related discipline.
·  Cabin Module design experience is mandatory
·  Competencies within mechanics, routing, system and cabin
·  Configuration Management experience
·  Design methods knowledge
·  Knowledge of stress analysis
·  Knowledge of Industrialisation design & methods rules
·  Knowledge of Part 145 and CS25 certification basis
·  Knowledge of Airworthiness
·  Knowledge of ATA38, ATA21 and ATA92
·  Knowledge of CATIA V5
·  Creative mindset
·  Team spirit
·  Communication skills
·  Coordination skills
·  Language Skills: Intermediate level of English and French is mandatory
