Description of the job

A vacancy for an Advanced telecom payload architect (H/F) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join the telecom Advanced Payload project group you will be in charge of advanced payload architectures, mainly featuring digital processing & active antennas for hgih capacity GEO and LEO missions and IoT missions.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Participating to design (in line with market demand for such architectures), performance analysis, and simulations, equipment high level specification and supplier relation.
·  Participating to Advanced Equipment development strategy and R&D planning, road map establishment and studies (internal studies,CNES, ESA, IRT, UE ..).
·  Interfacing with internal and external suppliers and with other internal entities (system group, proposal group...), national agencies and customer/industrial partners.
·  Participating to RFIs and RFPs featuring advanced payloads, as needed.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Master degree level in Engineering
·  5 years and more experience
·  Knowledge in Hyper frequency, telecom, signal processing
·  Abilities in processing components, active antenna, photonic
·  An advanced level in English is mandatory
