Description of the job

A vacancy for an A350 Structure multi-skilled Stress and Design Engineer has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

The main perimeter of the activity is Nose and Center Fuselage of Airbus 350 Commercial Aircraft.

You will join the Department in charge of the A350 Family Structure Stress/Design in the framework of the serial activities.

You will form a part of the team responsible for the follow up on the Risk Sharing Partner (RSP) for all structure activities of the perimeter under the responsibility of the Work Package Stress & Design Leaders.

Tasks & accountabilities

As a multi skilled Engineer, you will have to support Design and Stress team on the following subjects (non-exhaustive):

¤ Certification activities
¤ Methods & Tools: Stress & Design
¤ Weight Saving and Design to Cost
¤ Manufacturing support (concession, DQNs …)
¤ Modifications

This work has to be done in line with the program objectives (weight & performance, schedule, cost), in order to support series and development.

You will participate in regular meetings with the RSP and Airbus teams (Stress transverse, Design configuration, System installation…). You will also support the team for subcontracting activities: input check, deliverables checks, and internal design/stress studies.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a Bachelor's university degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline
·  First experience in Structure Engineering / Aeronautic
·  Knowledge of Airbus methods and tools (ISAMI, Patran, Nastran, Catia… ) would be a plus
·  High level of communication and team work
·  A high level of agility and willingness to learn is required
·  Language Skills: Negotiation level in French, and Advanced level in English
