About us

You will join the A350 XWB Nose & Center Fuselage (NCF) engineering organization and be part of an integrated team having the global view on aircraft structure design and justifications.
As a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Stress engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on: Certification activities, test analyses, Methods & Tools improvements, Weight saving, Design to Cost, Manufacturing support and Aircraft modifications.

This is an exciting and challenging role that requires a basic knowledge of F&DT analysis.

We will help you to develop a strong technical background in F&DT with the perspective to obtain relevant delegations.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Performing and providing technical definition dossiers for metallic and/or composite structures covering stress Fatigue & Damage Tolerance aspects,

- Liaising with static, design and appropriate Airbus departments to come up with optimum design solutions for the customer and to define maintenance programs.

- Identifying and supporting local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process, methods and tools.

- Delivering on time, on cost and on quality

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

About you:

You have studied Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Bac+5)
You have Basic Knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance principles for metal and composite structures
You have Basic knowledge of Finite Element Method
You are autonomous, curious and proactive.
You are Customer-oriented work, ability to work in a team
You are open minded and synthetic with capability to step back from activities and propose new ideas.
You have the capability to face complex situations and take data driven-decisions by using data analytics or model-based system engineering platforms.

Will be appreciated

- Basic knowledge of the static / design requirements for structures made of metal and composite materials
- Basic knowledge of ISAMI Analyst.
