Description of the job

2 vacancies for an A330 Design Structure Engineer (m/f) have arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.
You will join the A330 Family Structure Design/Stress department.

Within the Airbus Engineering community, come and join the AIRFRAME Centre. On the development program or serial aircraft, on structure or system installation, Airframe concerns all aircraft structure components and a large set of skills (architect, stress, design, test, material). Our mission is to generate customer value by developing and supporting end-to-end innovative airframe design.

Inside the Airframe organization, a transnational Fuselage organization is in charge of the development and delivery of all structure components for all aircraft programmes: engineering offices are located in Germany (Hamburg, Bremen), France (Toulouse, Nantes, Saint-Nazaire).
For activities linked to structures, system installation, final assembly, flight test support and certification, either for an A330 New development or for A330 Legacy Nose and Center Fuselage Design activities such as new modification, drawing set definition with Engineering suppliers and Risk Sharing Partners, support to Plants, support In Services Aircraft.

We are looking for people to master our technical/technological challenges.

This job aims to contribute to A330 Nose and Centre Fuselage Design activities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

In a very challenging context (technical, organisation, cost and schedule), the mission of the Design Structure Engineer is to:

Create and/or Validate metallic and composite structure or System installation, to ensure good integration of all sub-assemblies
in all plants (Nantes Work Packages, St Nazaire MCA, Toulouse FAL).
Create New Design Principle (CATIA V5) in an existing environment including systems
Participate to the "Full 3D" deployment on A330 familly
Participate and be proactive on innovation campaign

In addition to this mission, you will:
Ensure close relationship with serial Nose and Center Fuselage activities (Technical changes, S/C, synergies…)
Participate to monitoring/guidance/support of sub-contracting firms and RSP´s that are providing design deliverables (Design
Principle, Drawing set) for Airbus.
Ensure that the weight objectives are met (weight savings and weight for reinforcements)
Be responsile for performance KPI's (OTD and RFT) for NCF Design activities
Reports to the A330Familly Neo NCF Design leader

This role will involve some travels for business (once every 3 months) in Nantes, Saint-Nazaire, Hamburg and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

You have a relevant Bachelor or Engineering degree in Mechanical.

Initial experience in Structure Design or Stress
Experience with CATIA V5 is required.
Interest and previous experience regarding "full 3D technologies" are a plus.

Adaptable, Flexible

French and English: fluent/ negotiation level
