Description of the job

Airbus is undergoing a significant digital transformation to benefit from the latest advances in new technologies and targets a major efficiency breakthrough across the program and product lifecycle. It will be enabled by a set of innovative concepts such as model based system engineering, modular product lines, digital continuity and concurrent co-design of the product, its industrial setup and operability features.

Two vacancies for 3DExperience Functional Architect have arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.
You will join ZIDCC perimeter, responsible for the end to end accountability for all PDM / Configuration management activities.
The scope of ZID (IM organization to fully support Airbus Develop Business Process) department is to deliver to Airbus Business a single & harmonized set of IS/IT tools for the development of the Aircraft.
It ensures Product Life Cycle Management Support and Services as requested by Programs, Center of Expertise and Center of Competences. The Airbus Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) is a key and critical component of Design Information System.
ZID is the home within Airbus to lead the development, the implementation, the maintenance and the support of PLM to all Airbus programs in line with the corporate strategy. In order to address these challenges, ZID organization is aligned to both Engineering Sub Processes (Functional Design; Configuration Management & DMU …) and Aircraft operational stakes. ZIDC is one of ZID pillar to reach these objectives.
You will be responsible for delivering functional specifications and will actively contribute to the Architecture dossier.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities as Functional Architect will include:
• Validate solution design
• Act as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction of One Platform
• Drive investigation on new technologies and solutions
• Contribute to Proof of Concepts
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Transformation and development teams to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies
• Define models and solution patterns, to guide solution decisions
• Be involved in all phases of the application development lifecycle
• Define policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the organization

This role will involve some travel for business once a month in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

Your Boarding Pass
• IT degree or equal
• At least 10 years in engineering process, data model modelling and P&O

Excellent knowledge in:
• 3DExperience (Catia, Enovia, Delmia, Exalead, Similia,..)
• Product Lifecycle Management in AIRBUS
• Airbus Engineering IS Architecture
• Configuration Management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), Design, Manufacturing engineering, Stress processes

Especially
• Autonomous with excellent communication skills, displaying an ability to take initiative & drive improvement and innovation
• Demonstrate a real ability to interact and influence stakeholders & Customer expectations
• Negotiation level of English, French would be a plus.
