Relevant du Chef Sr, développement avancé, le ou la candidat(e) sera en charge de la création et de la conception de nouveaux produits de hockey. Il/elle sera appelé(e) à travailler en étroite collaboration avec les chefs de produits et les développeurs.

RESPONSABILITÉS

· Détermineret poursuivre des objectifs spécifiques pour chacun des nouveaux produits ;
· Faire la recherche, la conception, l’élaboration et le prototypage de nouveaux produits innovateurs ;
· Communiquer avec le département des tests terrain pour évaluer les prototypes, les designs, les nouvelles composantes, les matières premières et les technologies;
· Collaborer à l’analyse des produits compétitifs;
· Partager certaines responsabilités avec le développeur dans le processus de développement de produits, de la conception à la fabrication;
· Responsable d’élaborer des solutions aux contraintes ergonomiques des produits.

QUALIFICATIONS ET COMPÉTENCES

· Diplôme universitaire en design industriel combiné à 2 à 3 ans d’expérience dans la conception, le développement et la fabrication des biens de consommation ;
· Expérience au niveau des casques de sports et de l’équipement de hockey est un atout ;
· Connaissance approfondie des logiciels ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR et PHOTOSHOP sera un atout;
· Connaissance approfondie d’un logiciel 3D tel que Creo Parametrics ou Solidworks;
· Des exemples passés de créativité sont requis ;
· Habileté dans la préparation et l’interprétation de dessins à main levée, de design graphique et des dessins techniques en 2D et 3D
· Bonne connaissance de la biomécanique dans le sport en général et en particulier au hockey (atout);
· Habileté à travailler sous pression et avec des échéanciers serrés;
· Bon esprit d’équipe avec des expériences de succès dans des environnements de travail d’équipe;
· Bonne capacité d’organisation;
· Habileté à travailler de façon autonome, à résoudre des problèmes, à prendre des initiatives, à s’adapter et à montrer une flexibilité;
· Candidat doit être flexible et prêt à voyager;
· Bilinguisme (français et anglais).

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Advanced Development, the candidate will have to create and design new hockey products working within a triad structure with Product Mana-gers and the Developers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Determine specific objectives for each new product and follow through on these objectives;
· Research, design and prototype innovative new products;
· Find innovative solutions to technical problems;
· Share responsibility with the developer for the development of products, from product design to the manufacturing process;
· Responsible for providing solutions for ergonomic constraints of products.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· University Degree in Industrial Design combined to 2 to 3 years of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of consumers good;
· Experience with sports helmets and hockey equipment is an asset;
· In-depth knowledge of ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR and PHOTOSHOP is an asset;
· In-depth knowledge of 3D software knowledge such as Creo Parametrics or Solidworks;
· Ability to prepare and interpret hand drawings, graphic designs and 2D & 3D technical drawings;
· Demonstrated past examples of creativity;
· Good knowledge of sports bio-mechanics in general and hockey in particular (strong asset);
· Ability to strive and deliver under tight timelines and pressure situations;
· Strong team player with proven experiences of success in team environments;
· Strong organizational skills;
· Ability to work independently, to resolve problems and take initiative, adaptability and flexibility;
· Candidate must be flexible and available to travel;
· Bilingual (French & English)
