Summary:
This pivotal role involves working alongside the Product Marketing Team Leader and Coordinator ensuring the overall maintenance and implementation of the Product Development strategy.
The right candidate should be confident, a strong team-player, good communicator and able to present information about their area accurately and effectively to other colleagues and to customers.
Requirements/Profile:
� Bright, confident graduate/ equivalent experience within a marketing role
� Strong skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
� Excellent communication and presentation skills
� Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload and manage your own tasks
� Excellent attention to detail
� Self motivated, strong team-player
� Good research skills and ability to analyse competitors and highlight key points to team members
� Ability to analyse and identify trends and make recommendations for new product developments
� Available to travel as and when required
� Knowledge of the craft industry would be beneficial
Key areas of responsibility:
� New release product management - Monitoring the product schedule weekly and updating all relevant documents with changes.
� Gathering Product Information - Working with the US Team to request line drawings for the die selection process and embellished images for all new releases, organising files accordingly for all departments to access.
� Providing detail of all new releases to Supply Chain and managing Chapter presentations for Sales.
� Packaging - Collating product information for packaging including product names, translations, SKU codes etc.
� Proofing of new product packaging following the approval process in place supporting the Product Development Coordinator.
� Sample process and QC - Requesting samples and overall management of the sample process including delivery and maintenance of goods, QC testing and administration. QC reports should be checked and actioned as necessary on a weekly basis. All relevant parties should be updated regularly with sample and QC information.
� CAR process - working with Supply chain and Warehouse to resolve product issues.
� Competitor Analysis - Regularly research into the competitor brands and report on their new product ranges, pricing, product availability, future developments, market perception etc. and present information to other members of the business.
� Purchase and test competitor products gaining a good understanding of them to be able to demonstrate and present information to other departments.
� Create competitor documents showing the comparisons of the brands - this will support the sales team with customer enquiries.
� Research and Development - Continually researching into the industry to establish new product categories and opportunities and reporting on them regularly.
� Project management - Working on the development of new products as identified in the pipeline supporting the PD Coordinators.
� Support with sourcing and communication with new suppliers to support our product development plans as and when required - this may include retrieving costs, organising samples etc.
� Organisation and maintenance of the Product Development folders on the T Drive/SharePoint as well as hard copies.
� General administration tasks - Supporting the team with ad-hoc administration tasks as and when directed.
