We are currently recruiting for the below role

The communications team will be playing a critical role in helping the recovery of council services as well as the residential and business communities recovery. The team will be delivering a range of marketing and communications and behaviour change campaigns during this period including support to Test and Trace , supporting the local high streets and local economy, building on positive behaviours adopted during the lock down such as increased walking and cycling and waste minimisation all of which contribute to a wider climate change campaign. Other areas of marketing and campaign activity will involve building on community engagement, volunteering and "active citizenship" established over the lock down period.

These roles will require a broad marketing and communications skill set, with experience of using digital marketing approaches a key requirement. Strong writing and content production skills along with the ability to think strategically to develop and deliver effective multi-channel campaigns will also be essential.

Candidates will probably require experience of working in marketing / communications roles in local government, central government or a related public sector environment .

Note that due to the covid-19 situation, the communications team is currently working 100% remotely in a homeworking model. This is likely to continue for the duration of the initial 3 month contract.
