My client is a fst growing manufacturing business based within Sheffield. The client is looking to expand their team with a CMC programmer.

The role is to produce components in compliance with customer requirements and specifications adhering to company policies and standards.

The proposed person must be a proficient programmer using fanuc language (heidenhain is also a benefit), and a self sufficient operator who is able to read, understand engineering drawings and is used to working to tight tolerances (i.e. ±0.0005").

The candidate would work days for three months and then move to night-shifts (Monday to Wednesday 16.30-02.50, and Thursday 16.30-01.50).

Duties include:

● Competent operation of machine tools in accordance with work instructions and safe operation practice as appropriate.

● Read and interpret engineering drawings to a high standard; demonstrating understanding of surface finish requirements, geometric and dimensional tolerances.

● Where applicable; create, download, edit, archive, read and interpret CNC programs.

● Demonstrable ability to set components and machines, with consideration for best production route and any potential negative impact to quality requirements.

● Demonstrable ability to apply appropriate tooling and cutting methods considering the stability of the component set up and it's composition.

● Appropriate selection and accurate use of inspection equipment used to measure components throughout the manufacturing process.

● Communicate any potential process improvement opportunities to direct supervisor for approval and capture.

● Accurate completion of any records you are required to complete i.e. recording labour bookings, set up sheets etc.

● Demonstrate engagement with other Team Members.

● Maintain machinery and work area in accordance with daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance schedule.

● Any reasonable requests made by the Management team or direct supervisor.
