An exciting role has just came in today for an Accounts Assistant to join our local client on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an accounts background to put their stamp on the business. You will be innovative, dynamic and have a genuine desire to create and maintain a positive working environment for both customers and work colleagues.

You will have the following responsibilities:

·  Reconciling supplier statements to ensure that no costs are missing from the ledgers

·  Resolving account queries with suppliers and customers

·  Producing ad-hoc financial reports including aged debtors and creditors

·  Creditor and debtor management

·  VAT return preparation

·  Preparing payment runs and reconciling to bank statements

·  Processing staff wages, expenses and petty cash

·  Collecting and reconciling receipts for all spend on credit cards

To be considered you must have the following:

·  A good level of secondary education and numeracy skills

·  Previous experience as an accounts assistant including responsibility for book-keeping and data input

·  Previous experience of Sage product is essential, Xero is desireable

·  Proficiency in Microsoft office products, including excel at intermediate level

·  Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills.

The working hours are Monday - Friday
