Job Description

What you will be doing:

·  Assist the Food & Beverage Manager to build and develop a high performing team by leading and mentoring with a collaborative, motivational and empowering approach.
·  Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage manager and Sommelier in purchasing, stock control and management.
·  Lead and supervise Food & Beverage service within the restaurant and bar, to ensure service standards are followed.
·  Delivering high-end service and running the operations during busy service periods.
·  Assisting with rostering, team development & the overall co-ordination of the department.
·  Handling guest concerns and reacting quickly to guarantee memorable moments for our guests.
·  Delivering established service sequences whilst bringing your personalised flair and industry experience to each diner.
·  Maintaining product knowledge of menus and beverage lists.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

·  Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role, within high-end dining operations.
·  Strong service skills, with confidence in all aspects of service.
·  Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication.
·  Availability across a variety of shifts, including lunch and dinner service periods, across week day, weekends and public holidays.
·  Valid South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
·  Full Australian working rights.
·  A true love and passion for food, beverage and creating genuine memorable guest experiences.
·  Guest and quality orientated.
·  A commitment to undertake growth and development within the Sofitel brand.
·  Has the attitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.
