Job Description

To support the Engineering team in maintaining the overall appearance and internal workings of the Hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities

·  Completing daily hotel rounds to check light bulbs and parkade
·  Maintaining the physical appearance and overall condition of all public areas such as lounges, health club, public washrooms, and back of house areas
·  Frequent testing of the chemical levels of the pool and whirlpool
·  Cleaning pool and whirlpool filters, backwash, and tiles to ensure a safe and healthy environment
·  Maintaining the physical appearance of the grounds including collecting garbage, plowing and shoveling snow, cutting grass, and pruning shrubbery and trees
·  Attending to scheduled room checks and room calls, noting condition of rooms and required repairs
·  Assisting with other maintenance tasks as assigned

Qualifications

 

·  Plumbing or electrical training is an asset
·  Able to meet the physical demands of the position
·  Demonstrates a mechanical aptitude
·  Keen attention to detail
·  Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
