Key tasks

Training and Human Resources
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, business ethics & codes and ensures compliance
• Ensure wherever possible that employees are provided with a work place free of discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
• Treat complaints of harassment and discrimination promptly and confidentially.
• Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect and sensitivity.
• Identify and deal with issues which may cause cross cultural conflict or misunderstanding.
• Ensure thorough understanding of all Sofitel corporate programs impacting business
• To attend & facilitate departmental trainings for the sales team
• To keep up to date with Sofitel Hotels information by regularly reviewing Accornet (intranet site) and ensure full product knowledge and regular liaison with other Sofitel properties to maximise business optimization
Guest Service Operations Responsibilities
• Plan and carry out direct sales activities as per agreed budgets, sales volumes & values
• Maintain and develop existing and new customer’s database through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Consistently maintain and enhance client relationship and conduct brick walling activities with key accounts and Corporate Sales Offices / Global Sales Offices
• Timely response to Client as per the set standard response time of Sofitel Mumbai BKC.
• Manage client complaints and resolve concerns
• Communicating client requirements in a timely and accurate manner to all internal departments as required; ensuring delivery of superior guest service.
• To arrange, handle and manage familiarization trips and other business engagements in line with business needs.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Sales
Market Planning
• To actively participate in the annual Marketing Planning process as a support for the Director of Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing, and to take responsibility for the compilation of competitor rate and product information, as needed
• Participate in marketing strategies and take responsibility for agreed projects, such as direct marketing, production of sales collateral and advertising campaigns, in support of Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Sales.
• Be an ambassador of the hotel, internally & externally
