Job description
Key tasks
- Responsible for the leadership of the Food and Beverage team while on shift.
- To build and develop local guest relationships.
- Execute hotel Food and Beverage promotions on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for delivery of service where guests are welcomed and experience service that matches the expectation of discerning and experienced travellers from both international and local markets.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Sofitel brand standards.
- Training and development of the frontline Food and Beverage team including all aspects of performance management.
- Assist in all areas of Food and Beverage as required.

Essential and optional requirements
Minimum 12 months Food and Beverage supervisory experience. Luxury or Sofitel operational experience preferred.
Demonstrated Food and Beverage operations experience, Fine dining, a la carte, essential.
- Hold a Hotel/ Hospitality Management qualification, minimum level four.
- Competent in Microsoft applications, specifically outlook, word and excel.
- Knowledge of Mircos or similar point of sale system.
- Must be confident in building and developing relationships with our guests.
- Willingness to be a sales person and marketer of the outlets.
- A passion for food, wine and the culinary arts that is knowledgeable and effusive.
- A leader who is willing to manage, train and develop the existing Food and Beverage team on the job
- Ability to manage the Food and Beverage operations in the absence of management.
- Hold a Licensed Controller Certificate, preferred.
