Key tasks

We are looking for a passionate data scientist to join our rapidly growing Advanced Analytics & Data Science team. In this role you will work closely with the various business units throughout AccorHotels and apply advanced analytics to real-world hospitality situations, creating the most value from data. Your real passion for the statistics and machine learning has the power to unlock tangible business growth.

What you will do

• Transform large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights.
• Develop scalable algorithms and models to answer business questions (Revenue Management optimization, customer personalization, forecasts, marketing campaigns optimization, media mix optimization, digital marketing, brand excellence, …)
• you will have the opportunity to leverage Accor rich data and state-of-art machine learning infrastructure to contribute to develop data, machine learning and AI products
• You will collaborate with a strong team of engineers and data scientists on how to evaluate new approaches, build features, and develop algorithms
• You will support the ADHOC analytics needs, providing statistical inference and predictive modeling to the business units to increase the efficiency and business performance
• You will explain sophisticated data science concepts in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to decision makers

• You have a deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, and are able to translate this into business implications

• You are agile and have the capacity to thrive in our fast-paced environment, adapt quickly and take ownership of your work

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in computer science, machine learning, statistics, math or other quantitative discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience including hands on experience in machine learning, statistics, collaborating with engineering teams to develop prototypes that can be deployed across varied environments (e.g., real-time personalization )
• Strong programming skills (Python, R, Scala )
• Experience with distributed systems such as Spark, streaming data processing,…
• Familiar with modern distributed ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch,…
• Familiarity with AWS/GCP technology stack is a plus
• Experience in hospitality/retail industry is a plus
• Proficient in English
