Your impact

Are you looking for an internship in which you play an active role in formulating a clear vision on the latest digital developments? Do you want to do your graduate thesis research on a subject directly relevant to the clients of Accenture? Accenture offers a full-time graduate research internship for at least five months at our office in Amsterdam. If you already have a research questions or area in mind please don’t hesitate to share that with us!

What will you be doing? A graduate research thesis where you formulate your own research question or will be doing a research thesis in one of the following areas:

Artificial Intelligence – Image Recognition / Video Analytics

Are you an enthusiastic student with business acumen that is passionate about image recognition enabled by machine learning (particularly deep learning) algorithms and video analytics to drive processes and decisions making?

Artificial Intelligence, and particularly deep learning, fuels image recognition and video analytics, and enables us to track products, people flow, recognizing people, measure crowd density, and much more, and thus, brings value to our clients.

During your internship, you will be working internally within the Digital Artificial Intelligence team and in close co-operation with our Data scientist cross the company to develop innovative concepts and applications. You will be able to choose your focus, either on the business or technical side and have the option to combine this internship with your master thesis.

Minimum skills: knowledge of programming languages (preferably Python), experience with data manipulation and data cleansing, knowledge of machine learning libraries, understanding of image recognition and video analytics, understanding of machine learning or deep learning algorithms, experience with machine learning pipelines. During your master studies, you have been exposed to the concepts of Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or similar.

Artificial Intelligence – Natural Language Processing

Are you an enthusiastic student with business acumen that is passionate about text classification enabled by machine learning algorithms and natural language processing to drive processes and decisions making?

Unstructured data occupies the broadest scale of application on enterprise platforms and is by default heavily text-based. Businesses need to leverage the process of extracting information from textual data to meet the present market demands. However, textual data, and particularly text based on natural language, poses many challenges for analysis and interpretation.

You know this hurdle can be overcome with various Artificial Intelligence labelled techniques, such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning and you like to apply your knowledge and experience to inspire and bring value to our clients.

During your internship, you will be working internally within the Digital Artificial Intelligence team and in close co-operation with our Data scientist cross the company to develop innovative concepts and applications. You will be able to choose your focus, either on the business or technical side and have the option to combine this internship with your master thesis.

Your background


• You are nearing completion of your studies at university and are searching for work experience within your field of interest with future growth possibilities.
• You have demonstrable affinity and/or experience with trends and development in the fields of data science or business analytics.
• You are a team player with excellent communication skills; you are professional and precise.
• You speak fluent English and Dutch; both spoken and written.
• You work independently and have a hands-on mentality; you are creative and take responsibility.
