Your impact

Current situation

At this moment customers of energy suppliers are not in control of their data. They don’t know who is owning what data, what happened with their data and their data will be lost when they switch from energy supplier or going to live together or separate. GDPR will help to improve this situation for the customer.

Challenge

How can we give the power and clearness back to the consumer and create value for consumers to use data for the energy transition? Based on the data implications that GDPR will bring to the energy landscape, we see the following use-cases in this challenge:

• Give insight to the customer in who uses which data

• Give mandate to the customer in who is allowed to use which data e.g. based on Smart contracts

• Offer a digital data vault were customer data can be safely stored, the customer is in control of who gets access to what data and have a single source of truth.

• Make data portable for the customer

• Make it possible for customers to share his data with other users via the latest technology (e.g. mobile/NFC chip)

Can we make a simple Know Your Customer-alike process, where the customer knows to whom he is sending which data, with a single point of truth (open, transparent, blockchain-based) where all necessary players in the energy-market can make use of, based on customer mandate?

You will first research which blockchain platform (Multichain, Quorum, Corda or a different platform) is best suited for supply chain solutions. Based on the outcome of your research you will build a solution in NodeJS using the best-suited blockchain platform according to your research.

The solution that you will build will serve as a proof of concept.

Qualifications :

Your background

• You are in the final year of your graduation from college.

• You are a team player with excellent communication skills

• You are fluent in the Dutch and English language

• You can work independently

• Knowledge of/experience in: web development (Javascript, NodeJS)

• Interest in: UI/UX Development

• Eager to learn new skills and technologies

• Problem-solving ability
