May require some interaction with external business and application owners; as well as regular interaction with intra team functional, technical contacts
Educate application owners on DBA processes, roles and responsibilities within the migration project, and answer questions about the DBA process & solution architecture.
Follow up with application or internal teams to resolve discrepancies or gaps.
Schedule and conduct reviews with application owners and architects to schedule workloads, select appropriate technical migration approaches based on identified migration patterns, identify other dependent workloads to include in the same migration event.
Support the process to track, review and approve requested updates to the agreed migration schedule for DBA related items
Ideal candidate profile
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
4+ years of experience with SQL server (DBA/Migrations)
· 2+ years of experience with NoSQL technology
· 2+ years of experience working with Cloud platforms AWS and/or Azure
· US Citizenship Required
· Experience with Terraform and Ansible skills, Powershell
· Proficiency with MS office tools
· Working knowledge of Oracle, Postgres, MySQL
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
