SOFTWARE/ SYSTEMS RESIDENT ENGINEER (H/F)

Poste et missions:
Represents the client at customer by supporting the usage of the controller in vehicle and benches.
ASSIGNMENT IS BASED IN INGOLSTADT (GERMANY).
Establish and maintain good working relationship with Audi in Ingolstadt
- Able to gain an understanding of the power electronics main components ( Inverter, DCDC, Charger…)
- Understand how our product is applied at Audi
- Participate in the development, validation, and improvement of requirements. Update vehicle and system bench content.
- Assist AUDI with duplicating and debugging issues on the bench and in the vehicle
o Help AUDI debug HW/SW/instrumentation integration issues
- Ensure change management is aligned with AUDI processes (QC Tickets)
- Monitor issues that AUDI is seeing and figure out how to duplicate the issue and relay that information back to the development team
- Be fully integrated with the program team in Kokomo and Luxembourg. Help to resolve engineering issues with the product team in Europe and Kokomo
- Appropriate and timely communication between the client and AUDI
- Be a representative of the client when issues arise at AUDI site
- Support product and vehicle launch including assembly plant test and service
- Investigate vehicle application issues with the customer and address resolution with the appropriate competency. Provide vehicle application and voice of the customer input to program team.
- Participate in validation/Testing of HW/SW releases at AUDI
- Participate in validation/Testing of SW patches at AUDI
- Attend SW AUDI meetings
Profil:
4 or 5 year University degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Work experience / Skills
- German Speaking preferred with good English Skills
- Familiar with Audi/VW tools and process (preferred)
- Good knowledge of embedded software (C language…)
- Knowledge of Power Electronics (preferred)
- Understanding of vehicle’s electrical architectures and communication protocols
- Usage of ETAS INCA and Vector CANape/CANoe knowledge
- Relevant experience with Serial Communications: CAN, UDS, CCP, XCP, Flexray
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team
- Analytical aptitude to identify, diagnose and resolve problems
- Knowledge of automotive product development and testing
