JOB DESCRIPTION:
Acute Care Sales Rep - Therapeutic Nutrition
The primary role of this position is to execute strategies to drive sales and expand product market share of Ensure brands and specialty products. Responsible for targeted Hospital accounts and their key stakeholders such as: Nutrition Services, Nursing, Quality, Materials Management, Physicians, and nutrition-related task forces and committees. Responsible for providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Abbott products, and effectively communicating the clinical and economic benefits.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Full ownership of acute care accounts
- Executing strategic sales initiatives designed to exceed established sales goals.
- Work closely with District Manager and cross-functional / interdisciplinary teams to execute the strategic account plan
- Prioritizing the utilization of resources to drive return on investment
- Utilizing Abbott Nutrition promotional materials and clinical studies to effectively communicate the clinical and scientific benefits of Abbott Nutrition products to targeted healthcare professionals
- Plan and organize to maximize focus on top priorities

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must live in the territory which may include anywhere in northern Virginia, D.C., or Bethesda, MD
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical/Healthcare experience is strongly preferred (RN/RD)
- 2-3 years of sales experience preferred
- Selling experience across a wide range of Health Care Practitioners in Hospital setting/environment
- Strong Business acumen demonstrated through solid understanding of the healthcare landscape including electronic medical electronic records
- Strategic Account Planning experience
