Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Achieve sales targets through product promotion, provision of information and education to designated customers.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To achieve annual sales plan of Established Pharmaceuticals Division products as laid out in the sales forecast.
  • To promote Abbott products to the Health Care Professionals (HCP) and to develop relationships and support with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLS) and health care administrators.
  • To conduct sales calls using selling techniques and methodology employed by Abbott.
  • To achieve coverage and frequency of targeted customers as defined by the team leader.
  • To develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in terms of disease areas, products, competitors, health-care trends and environment.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • To manage the Area as defined by Team Leader:
    • Constantly update and maintain the quality of the customers list.
    • Possess knowledge of health care infrastructure in the area and update team leader.
    • Initiate, organize and conduct representative lectures and Journal Club Events with Health Care Professionals (HCP).
    • Proactively collect information of HCP organized professional events, to identify sponsorship opportunities to product promotion.
    • Proactively analyze business situation in the area, propose special activities and actions for products promotion.
  • Reporting – Periodical area report as requested by team leader.
  • To maintain standards of conduct in line with Abbott code of business conduct

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education - B.Sc. life science or equivalent must
  • Experience & Background - Relevant sales experience - Must, Professional employment as a Medical Rep - an advantage, Familiarity computerized work environment.
  • Personal Qualifications - Sales oriented, High verbal skills, Ability to work under pressure, Assertiveness, Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal communication, Ability to receive feedback.
