JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Postmarket Surveillance Data Analyst. The individual will be responsible for the data analysis of all facets of customer complaint handling (Postmarket Surveillance) data. The data requested is utilized for many purposes including but not limited to: further analysis of specific issues, regulatory / management reporting, and trending analysis. The duties for this position require a thorough knowledge of the development and maintenance of: the information systems in use for customer complaints, the data reporting package, and data repository in use. This position requires excellent communication skills, initiative, ingenuity, database management skills, and data retrieval.
Major responsibilities include:
- Conducts the retrieval of data as requested while ensuring the accuracy of the data pulled to fulfill the intended use/ purpose
- Provide various forms of data analysis and presentations for both internal and external customers such as presentations for management review, operations review, quality review, regulatory reporting, etc.
- This position will require conducting research, verification, and validation of data sources
- Leads and/or participates in cross-functional meetings as necessary to drive actions associated with actions or process improvements
- Apply innovation skills to improve the input content and the output (queries, reports, etc.) of the complaint database
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned by manager
Job Knowledge / Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Field or equivalent experience
- 0 - 2 years' experience with data analytics
- Strong Microsoft Office capabilities required
- Experience with automated database systems like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL etc.
- Ability to query and refine data into summarized results
Other Desirable Qualifications:
- Medical Device Industry experience
- Multitasks, prioritizes and, meets deadlines in timely manner
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels in the organization
- Knowledge and experience with SAP Enterprise Software highly desirable
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, a plus
- Knowledge of Quality tools/methodologies, Statistical analysis, and/or report writing
