JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prepare, file, prosecute and/or manage worldwide patent portfolio for life science/biotechnology technologies; conduct due diligence and freedom-to-operate assessments; provide patent advice to clients within the diagnostic business; develop and implement IP strategies; prepare agreements and support IP aspects of research/commercial collaborations.
Basic Qualifications:
JD and USPTO registrations in good standing.
Requirements for Counsel: must have a minimum of 3 years as a patent attorney, preferably in the life science/biotechnology fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of patent laws in major countries.
- Significant freedom-to-operate or product clearance experience, preferably for life science/biotech products.
- Substantial experience in patent prosecution preferably in life science/biotechnology fields.
