Job description
Tasks:
- Lead the efforts in the area of SW requirement specification, technical specification and project management, and deliver SW releases on time for a variety of products in a very dynamic environment
- Support of commissioning activities, as well as advanced troubleshooting of field problems
- Participate in the planning and monitor the execution of SW development activities both in Switzerland and in remote locations
- Interact with Product Management, Service and other stakeholders to continuously prioritize the work items, clarify requirements and maintain the SW development backlog
- Work closely with other SW Product Owners and with the Test Manager to ensure the quality of the released SW, as well as the efficiency of the overall development activities, and
- Oversee and coordinate technology improvements through the product SW lifecycle, both in the area of SW engineering, as well as Power Electronics control

Desired profile
Requirements:
- Electrical engineering background with expertise and experience in medium-voltage power electronics, variable speed drives and control. Previous experience with commissioning activities would be especially appreciated.
- Experience in the area of SW engineering and control development for embedded systems in power electronic applications. Familiarity with the hardware (power and control), control SW & FW architecture and environment, and the associated toolchains for both ABB's ACS6000 & PCS6000 platforms would be strongly considered.
- Strong organizational and project management skills backed up by significant previous experience in the area of MV Drives and their SW development, preferably in an international setting
- Excellent English language skills are a must, German an additional asset
