Material Data Scientist - Internship

Corporate Research Center located in Krakow is one of seven ABB research units in the world. Here we create innovative solutions for our products and systems. It is unique opportunity for you to work on international projects in interdisciplinary scientific teams. To our team we are looking for a candidate for a position: Material Data Scientist - internship.

Tasks:

Participating in the project of implementing machine learning algorithms into material science domain by:
- Collecting and review of existing data bases with experimental results;
- Cleaning and preparing data;
- Testing and improving machine learning algorithms;
- Computer simulations of drying and curing processes.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in Material/Computer Science or related field, (3rd year student can be accepted);
- Understanding methodology and some experience in performing material test experiments;
- In depth knowledge of Excel;
- Knowledge of Python and machine learning algorithms would be an advantage;
- Knowledge of material aging tests would be an advantage;
- Good English;
- Strong communication skills;
- Flexible and self-learning;
- Good work organization;
- Good analytical skills;
- Availability at least 20h/week.
