Internship Power Semiconductor Modules Packaging & Materials

Job description

Tasks:
- Support technology development and materials research in power electronic modules packaging
- Conduct applied research using different bonding techniques and materials characterization methods, cross sectioning, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and scanning acoustic microscopy (SAM)
- Perform experiments, evaluate and interpret experimental results
- Support process and materials optimization based on experimental results
- Support CAD drawings
- Perform thermal and thermomechanical modeling using commercial simulation tools (COMSOL)

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, or a related subject (advanced B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree); official enrollment essential)
- Experience in laboratory work and know-how in sample preparation and material characterization techniques advantageous
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary work
- Self-organized team player with ability to work independently and as a part of a team
