Thales Romania delivers advanced signaling, supervision and control systems for railways in close cooperation with Thales Germany, information systems for England's motorways and major roads in close cooperation with Thales UK and Human Computer Interfaces (HCI) for air and land simulators in cooperation with Thales France.

The Engineering Support Team is developing and maintaining different tools that facilitate the activity of our internal and external customers.

Joining this team you will spend most of your time modifying or creating from scratch various software solutions using various technologies and architectures. You will have the advantage to consolidate your knowledge in software development but also to learn state of the art technologies.

Job Purpose:

· Responsible for developing, configuring and deploying tools to customers in Bucharest, Germany or France.

Job summary:

· Design, develop and test tools and scripts to facilitate the engineering process
· Configure existing or commercial tools to integrate them in the development process
· Manage regression test scripts, analyze and publish regression tests results
· Support and configuration of simulation tools

Required competencies:

· Good knowledge of Java or C/C++ language
· Knowledge of at least one scripting language (eg. Bash, Perl, Python)
· Good knowledge of UNIX based operating system (GNU Toolchain)
· Experience with version control tools

Would be a plus:

· Knowledge of Rational ClearCase
· Knowledge of GIT
· Experience with LINUX based programming, Makefiles
· Knowledge of Javascript and Web development
