Founded in November 2012, the SAP Training and Development Institute (SAP TDI) supports in the creation of sustainable work possibilities by boosting the business system knowledge and entrepreneurial mindset of tech talent through tailored programs. The institute serves as Think Tank for knowledge exchange, co-creation and co-innovation and supports technology entrepreneurs to drive innovation. With its various initiatives, the institute helps individuals and organizations to thrive in the Digital Economy and tackles some of today's most pressing issues, such as youth unemployment and STEM skills gap. Operating in a fast-paced “start-up” environment, the SAP TDI requires employees with hands-on and multi-tasking mentality.

The mission of Marketing and Communications at the SAP Training and Development Institute (TDI) is to increase awareness of the achievements and efforts of our Institute.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Working as Junior Graphic Designer this position supports the marketing team in the development of visual solutions to the TDI Marketing and Communications Strategy, which includes the creation of visual concepts as well as final artworks along with the adaptation of existing artworks in adherence with brand guidelines. The position holder will act as an individual contributor in close collaboration with the marketing team to create design solutions with high visual impact.

The role will be limited for a duration of 6 months; with an option to extend thereafter.

As Junior Graphic Designer for the SAP Training and Development Institute, major responsibilities will include:

·  Creation and design of layouts and final artworks for all kind of marketing material in line with the instructions and guidelines provided
·  Independently driving design related projects and tasks in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders
·  Working across a variety of media and material, including print and digital, promotion, events etc. for TDI's various initiatives and target audiences
·  Present ideas, rough drafts and design options to the Marketing & Communications Lead, as well as to the Management Team and other members of the team, as required
·  Check and finalize artworks ready for printing/production
·  Perform other creative tasks to provide support to projects including, but not limited to, image retouching, photography, videography etc.
·  Close collaboration with the Marketing & Communications lead to ensure alignment with the Marketing & Communications Strategy
·  Taking over various projects as requested

In that capacity:

·  Suggests new visual concepts while ensuring adequate planning of tasks to accomplish defined projects and tasks within agreed timelines
·  Pays attention to details to ensure error-free final artwork materials for production as per requirements
·  Understands and adheres to design and brand guidelines while being able to creatively step outside the box
·  Very good organizational skills and an ability to keep track of tasks, responsibilities and deadlines
·  Acquires deeper knowledge about processes, executes professionally and uses his/her knowledge situational
·  Takes over additional task (e.g. smaller projects, project management)
·  Seeks proactive feedback/works proactively to identify opportunities for improvement

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

·  Bachelor degree in Graphic Design or related study with emphasize on Graphic Design and/or Marketing
·  6+months of experience in a graphic design role
·  Professional skills in the universal graphic design applications and up to date knowledge with new design trends and technologies
·  Social Media/Video/Animation graphics qualification
·  Knowledge on the specifications for printing-related matters
·  Strong creative skills and mindset with keen attention to detail
·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English.
·  Strong project management skills, detail oriented; must be highly organized with the ability to manage towards multiple deadlines simultaneously
·  Able to build strong relationships, is results driven and self-motivated
·  First experience in the technology industry is an advantage
