Job Summary:

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Nordic Category Manager OTC (Over-The-Counter) is to lead the sales and marketing activities for specified categories and brands, including development and implementation of strategies, goals and tactical plans to achieve sales and market share targets across the Nordic OTC business.

Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve territory sales and market share targets.
• Lead the annual category planning process.
• Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans for specified categories in close collaboration with national Commercial Managers.
• Develop and execute value-adding customer and consumer-centric category activities.
• Build the selected categories’ visibility and secure a consistent brand communication both off-and online.
• Identify and leverage insights to activate both the consumer and the pharmacies into the specified categories and brands to drive growth.
• Portfolio management incl. effective launch of new brands or line extensions.
• Propose pricing strategies.
• Measurement and evaluation of activities to ensure optimal ROI.
• Monitor competitive activities and therapeutic trends through collecting and analyzing market data, as well as being able to gauge opportunities in the marketplace.
• Forecasting.
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration across markets and across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance in all processes and activities.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
• Pharmacy or life science degree
• Fluent in one Nordic language and English
• Extensive experience (3+ years) in marketing and/or sales positions within the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience from operation in Nordic set-up organizations within the pharmaceutical industry
• Solid experience in Category management and Portfolio management
• Proven track record of strategic marketing skills from an international company
• Proven track record of excellent planning, development and execution of activities (offline and digital)
• Proven track record of delivering value adding marketing/sales activities based on insights (Consumer, shopper behavior, pharmacy) with demonstrable ROI
• Understanding of product launch and product commercialization processes
• Expertise within the Allergy and/or Gastro and/or cough & cold segments
• High ability to influence in a matrix organization across several Nordic markets and Regional stakeholders
• High communication and collaboration skills
