The Non-Financial Risk (NFR) plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management.

The NFR achieves this by providing operational risk and control expertise, conducting high quality reviews of the bank's control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management

What you’ll do:

Lead the operations of a team of WPB CDD officers supporting the HASE WPB CDD function including:

·  WPB CDD onboarding profile review/ approval/ quality control processing
·  CDD review of subject of interests identified with FCR

Work with Global, Regional and HASE onshore stakeholders including WPB Business Units, Compliance, Legal, Transformation, Technologies and Operations:

·  Deploy CDD related initiatives and processes pertaining to Regulatory and Group’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies procedures for HASE WPB
·  Support HASE WPB Business initiatives and value stream projects including customer onboarding journey digitalization and operations as CDD SME

Deploy and/or execute CDD policy requirements and control measures including:

·  Assist in developing and enhancing respective CDD procedures and training materials in relations to changes in regulatory and policy requirements, supporting business initiatives and customer experience optimization
·  Support the monitoring and management information generation of CDD processes and operational performance
·  Assist in tracking and/or mitigating and/or remediating identified risks and issues within the WPB CDD control scope

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role?

·  University Graduate
·  Self-motivated and analytical, with a strong career interest in Financial Crime Risk & Control areas
·  3 years of financial services industry work experience
·  Good command of written and spoken English. Able to read and understand traditional and simplified Chinese.  Fluency in Cantonese. Mandarin is an advantage
·  Business Analysis/ Project Management experience and qualifications (e.g., PMP) would be a definite advantage
·  Financial Crime Risk (e.g. AML) domain experience and qualifications (e.g., CAMS) would be a definite advantage
·  Basic knowledge and experience with database tools (e.g., SQL usage) would be advantageous but not mandatory
