This role will be responsible for supporting clients and, in certain instances, directly growing revenues derived from Capital Financing (DCM, Credit & Lending, Acquisition Finance, Asset Finance, M&A, ECM) Global Markets (Credit Sales, Cash Equities, Interest Rate & Equity Derivatives, FX), Transaction Services – Cash & Liquidity Management, Securities & Trust Services and Global Trade & Receivables Finance, and investment management solutions through HSBC Asset Management.

As our Associate, FIG Insurance Coverage you will:

·  Contribute to building HSBC’s Insurance coverage franchise and reputation in the market place
·  Deliver innovative solutions to client’s needs across all product lines, gaining significant ancillary business and above hurdle RoRWA returns for the Group
·  Develop “Trusted Advisor” and “First Call” relationships for event-driven transactions by developing and pitching strategic solutions content-driven ideas and solutions that can differentiate HSBC from the competition
·  Coordinate origination and execution of activities across the platform including Capital Financing / Global Markets / Transaction Services / Asset Management products
·  Drive results against client plans for revenue generation, franchise transactions, alignment with product partners and customer satisfaction
·  Adhere to strict risk guidelines for lending and market exposure and ensure that we are comfortable with credit quality & RoRWA returns
·  Manage and mentor junior resources on team where required
·  Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant HSBC internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to business conduct specifically Internal Controls and Compliance policies

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $125,000 and $150,000.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

·  Strong connection with senior client contacts in insurance sector
·  In-depth knowledge of insurance sub-sectors: life, P&C, reinsurance, brokers and healthcare
·  Significant experience with GAAP / Statutory financial statements, company valuations, capital structure / regulatory requirements, debt / FSR ratings, funding / capital markets and investments
·  Knowledge of Credit and LoC agreements, ISDA / CSA documentation, MRA / TRS structures, risk management and risk mitigation strategies
·  Ability to manage a portfolio of clients on a global basis
·  Well organized with an analytical approach to problem solving
·  FINRA Series 79, 63 and 7 licenses
·  Strong team player and collaborative with colleagues across HSBC’s global platform
