Overview

 

The Luxury Sales Manager role is responsible to positively impact and drives sales within Leisure Sales and Wholesale segment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Direct the sales efforts and relationships with top leisure travel producers including travel management accounts, retail travel agents, consortiums, and wholesalers in dedicated territory.
  • Existing relationships and experience within Virtuoso, Signature Travel, American Express, Inspirato, Kiwi Collection, Internova and more.
  • Coordinate needs from luxury sales to property team, to work cohesively to create client luxury experience.
  • To actively engage and build strong relationships with leading luxury agencies and luxury wholesale partners.
  • Direct the efforts to garner and organize relevant competitive information and account data.
  • Attend sales missions, tradeshows, Sites and Host FAM’s, dedicated toward the growth and recognition of the hotels.
  • Establish ongoing target lists via Agency 360 and local trends, specific to Luxury Consortia.
  • Attainment of annual room night and revenue goal for Luxury Leisure and Wholesale travel sales budget.
  • Timely follow up with clients day to day business needs.
  • Initiate contact with Target accounts and grow relationship & production.
  • Coordinate special promotional events for key leisure and WS travel customers and their clients, i.e. FAMs, Resort-hosted receptions, customer appreciation parties and incentives, etc.
  • Monitor marketing and promotional efforts to leisure travel customers with updates.
  • Review account’s production and travel pattern to determine the appropriate market segment for negotiation.
  • Engage with the hotel’s revenue management and reservations team, along with Operations to ensure strong communication and synergy.
  • Ensure that travel industry policies and wholesalers are known and adhered to by all hotel and office staff.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Two (2) years of sales experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Prefer if candidate can speak Spanish
  • College Degree preferred, high school or equivalent education required
  • Strong discipline and work ethic.
  • Ability to travel to hotel per quarter, plus travel on sales calls and tradeshows.
  • Ability to establish and master goals- work towards budget annual goals
  • Ability to identify and develop accounts
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi
