Senior Back-End Developer

Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join our team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• The Back-End Web Developer is responsible for the development of a wide range of modern web solutions to deliver artificial intelligence projects, mainly on the back-end part of the stack.
• He/she will design, develop, modify, and support in-house applications, working hand-in-hand with the data scientists and developers of the analytics consulting team.

Main Responsibilities:
• Build full stack web applications and APIs in GoLang that deliver Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions to end users (expert);
• Analyze, design, coordinate and supervise the development of web applications and APIs (expert);
• Be an active member of the Development Team to contribute to team dynamics, ways of working and assisting with improvement opportunities (practice);
• Develop technical and design documentation (practice);
• Ensure proper usage of state-of-the-art frameworks and advising on other architecture solutions & technologies (expert).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Technical Skills:
• Solid experience of backend development languages such as Java, GoLang, Kubernetes (expert);
• Notions of Jenkins and Ansible;
• Knowledge of Microservices design & development (expert);
• Knowledge in container platforms e.g. Docker and Kubernetes (practice);
• Knowledge in applying agile SCRUM method to projects with high added value (practice);
• Experience of REST API including its lifecycle management (expert).

Language Skills:
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
