About the role:



We are looking for a graduate software engineer who has passion and energy to join Enterprise Software team in Arm's Central Engineering – Open Source Software Group.

What I will be accountable for?



As a graduate software engineer of Enterprise Software team, you will focus on open source software for enterprise server and networking on Arm architecture. You will be working with Arm internal teams as well as other partners to help develop, enable, optimize, and test open source software stacks related to Linux kernel, virtualization, container, language/library/tools, cloud, big data, database, storage, and enterprise networking, to help Arm strengthen enterprise software ecosystem for server and networking.

As a successful candidate, you need to be flexible with a variety of software development skills as well as the commitment to extend the breadth and depth of your knowledge.

Job Requirements

What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?



Education & Qualifications:

2018 graduates with Master Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or other engineering degrees with relevant experience.

Essential Skills & Experience:

· 
Familiar with C and Linux programming.

· 
Familiar with one or more script languages such as Python, Perl, PhP, etc is a good plus.

· 
Understanding of computer architecture, data structure, algorithm, and concurrent programming.

· 
Experience in one or more areas below is highly desired: Linux kernel, virtualization, container, compiler, cloud/big-data/storage software stacks, L2-L7 networking stacks, etc.

· 
Experience in distributed version control systems, such as Git.

· 
Quick learner, good problem solving skills.

· 
Fluent in English. Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

· 
Good team player, flexible, and willing to take challenges.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

· 
Familiar with open source project development cycles and contribution process.

· 
Experience in software development and optimization on Arm architecture.

· 
Understanding of I/O and networking and their impact on software performance.
