Team Description

The DGA division of Amadeus provides airlines with a variety of IT solutions for websites, call centers, self-service check-in on the web and at airport kiosks. On the e-commerce side, e-Retail is a customisable reservation system on which travellers can make bookings. Our standard product is used by more than 55 airlines, this represents around 1,000,000 bookings per month. The product for call centers is ARD Web, a reservation front office for airline agents.

Within DGA, the User Experience Design (UXD) team is a recognized Usability and Accessibility pole of expertise and coordinates user experience activities for DGA products.

The UXD team works closely with Development, Product Management and Digital Creative teams to clarify requirements, produce wireframes/mockups/prototypes, conduct user tests and audit final products.

Main Responsibilities

The goal of the internship is to help airlines provide a better UX to travellers by optimizing the customization of their booking website based on e-Retail.

e-Retails offers different features and options that airlines adapt to their needs. In the User Experience Design team we work relentlessly to design new features that provide the best possible user experience and to re-design existing features based on issues found during user research.

The trainee will participate in following activities:

· Build a tool based on heuristic principles and other HCI principles
· Gather best practices and the existing recommended settings of the product
· Based on the above, conduct an assessment of a set of airlines using e-Retail
· The goal of this evaluation is wide: to provide a delightful experience, to improve customer loyalty, to increase user engagement, to upsell ancillary services, etc.
· Provide a list of high-level recommendations
· If relevant, provide design proposals

Requirements

Fluent written and spoken English.

Education

University degree with specialization in User Experience Research or Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction design, Usability, Ergonomics or related field.
