Team Description

The division Revenue Management System is in charge of building state of the art Revenue Management products for airlines. The scope of the activities goes from the research streams in order to imagine and prepare the features of tomorrow, through the development of the products, to the support of our airline customers in production.

The Revenue Management Technical Consulting team is more specifically in charge of supporting airline customer to implement and then use in live production the Amadeus Revenue Management products. Our customers cover small airlines like Air Mauritius or Corsair, to big actors like Scandinavian Airlines or Singapore Airlines. Each airline business is specific. As a consequence, its Revenue Management setup needs to be thoroughly calibrated in order to make the most of the Revenue Management product. And even after the implementation, there is regularly the need to review this setup in order to adapt to the fast changes of the market.

Main Responsibilities

The post implementation services proposed by the Revenue Management Technical Consulting team aim at ensuring that the Revenue Management system recommendations keep providing the best revenue optimization based on market trends. The airline revenue management analysts then applies on top some manual overrides, whenever needed, to adjust to some specific market conditions for instance. These overrides can eventually impact a significant part of the airline network and could even lead to revenue loss. There are today limited tools to assess this impact.

The trainee will participates in defining tools to identify and evaluate the impact of these manual overrides. He will have to:

· Identify data to use, build dataset and reports in a big data environment.
· Ensure the tools built are re-usable for any airline customer
· Analyse this data for an airline and participates in making recommendations on system usage and calibration
· Consolidate reports for several airlines in order to identify patterns that could help identifying evolution that would need to be added to Revenue Management products
