Job description

Tasks:
• Security and network robustness testing of ABB embedded devices and host-based industrial software
• In-depth analysis of test results and preparation of technical test reports
• Support ABB development teams in issues reproduction
• Support training activities for both the Device Security Assurance Center team and the ABB development teams
• Evaluate and develop new testing tools and methodologies relevant for the organization

Desired profile

Requirements:

Required skill set:
• In-depth knowledge of communication technologies and networking systems (TCP/IP networking and application-layer communication)
• Good knowledge of cyber security principles, technology, solutions, and processes
• Basic understanding of software exploitation, common vulnerabilities, and Secure Development Lifecycle
• Basic knowledge of industrial control systems and operational technology
• Basic knowledge of security testing, in particular on port scanning, vulnerability assessment, and fuzzing
• Hands-on experience in scripting languages such as shell, python, ruby, etc. (at least one)
• Knowledge on software technologies, cloud technologies and/or embedded systems

Desired skill set:
• Working knowledge of industrial control systems and operational technology
• Working knowledge of communication protocols for industrial control systems
• Hands-on experience in security testing in general, and on security testing of industrial control systems
• Hands-on experience of port scanning, vulnerability assessment, fuzzing, and pentesting tools
• Experience in supporting or providing technical training

Soft skills:
• Able to work under minimal supervision, independently, as well as in team
• Good oral communication skills and in technical writing
• Fluency in English

Qualifications:
• B.Sc. CS / EE + 2 years of experience in the security domain
• M.Sc. CS / EE with studies in networking and information security
