I am currently pursuing an honours degree in computer science at the University of Cape Town. My research interests are statistical machine learning, cognitive systems and cryptography; in particular, my honours research project is on optimizing hyperparameters for machine learning algorithms. I am interested in pursuing a career as a research scientist, or to be involved in research and development in tech-firms. I am also interested in pursuing my master's degree in computer science and/or machine learning in the near future
