I have currently studied at South & City College where I have studied Business level 2 Extended Certificate and also studying Btec Business level 3 extended certificate therefore I have excessive knowledge and information within the business sector etc. I am currently going to increase my business knowledge by studying Business & Finance at University. I had chosen to study this course as I am interested in all the topics and areas covered in Business and in the near future I would like a career as a Finance manager in a business or Banking.

I had the job role of Sales Assistant, this job role had helped to build my confidence even further as I had communicated and engaged with customers and worked in teams to meet the businesses goals and to meet customer’s needs. In this job role my main objectives were to give customers an excellent experience and to ensure their needs and expectations were met. This job role had helped me to develop new skills such as having a friendly and helpful approach to our customers and colleagues. It had also given me the ability to recognise sales opportunities and maximise selling potential. This job role had given me the skills to multitask and handle the pressure of a busy day and having a willingness to learn and improve my skills.

Sales and Stockroom assistant

- VentesI have had previous work experience in Next where I had a job role of sales and stockroom assistant. I had worked within Next for 8 months where this job role required me to interact and engage with customers ensuring that their needs and expectations were being met and ensuring to organise and sort out stock, which included pricing, merchandising and unloading stock. I had to ensure that I was meeting customer’s requirements by asking them if they needed any help or answering any queries they had. The purpose of my job role was to assist in the day-to-day running of Next’s to maximise sales, profitability and ensuring that customer’s needs and expectations were being met.

Store and stockroom assistant

- VentesDuring my time in college I had to undertake work experience as part as my educational program. As a result I had carried out volunteer work within a charitable organisation, within this job role I had to ensure to carry out various job roles for example, to assist and serve customers, providing a good level of customer service, processing donated stock, including sorting, steaming, pricing and hanging of donated items. The skills and qualities developed were god communication and customer service skills. The job role also involved with the till operation and the handling of cash. Carrying out volunteer work is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills. It had helped build my confidence and there are many positives as it ensured that I was giving some of my free time to support good causes.

I had also carried work experience in Ireland where I have participated in a programme called Erasmus plus, where an organisation called Praxis Europe had required me to carry out work experience in Ireland, as well as to help improve my skills and qualities. I had completed work experience in a Hospital within the business area where I had worked in many departments such as Medical records, Accounting, HR and Admin. Erasmus plus programme helped improve and develop new skills such as ICT, as I was working with different programmes and inputting data within the organisations system. I had gained many attributes and skills as I became a more confident and approachable individual who works well under pressure and faces all challenges head on.
